Job Details:

 

Job Summary: Performs complex software engineering assignments following designated standards and procedures. Provides technical guidance and leadership, and mentors more junior members of the team. Conceptualizes, designs, codes, debugs and performs development activities in accordance with designated standards and procedures. Works closely with other engineering disciplines. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

 

Minimum Job Requirements:

 

· Four-year college degree in computer science, computer engineering or other related technical discipline, plus a minimum of six years of software development experience or a master’s degree with at least four years of related experience.

· Experience to include software development/engineering, providing technical direction and leadership to software engineering projects and team members.

· Experience to include specification, design, and development of software systems.

· Experience to include programming in C# using .NET Framework 5 or .NET Core 3.1

· Experience developing Web APIs using ASP.NET Core

· Experience with Object Oriented Design Patterns

· Experience writing multi-threaded code with Threads and Tasks.

· Proven track record in developing and deploying scalable, production software solutions in both Windows and Linux environments.

· Knowledge of Windows and Linux command-lines (Command Prompt, Bash)

· Knowledge of Cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

· Familiarity with Secure Coding Practices

· Able to analyze and solve complex software engineering problems.

· Able to prioritize work and complete multiple tasks under deadline and budget guidelines.

· Knowledge of customer needs and competing products desirable.

· Effective written and oral communication skills required.

· May be required to travel domestically.

 

A well-qualified candidate will have experience with one or more of the following:

· Proficiency in C/C++

· Embedded development on Linux and Windows

· Prior experience in Transportation or Traffic Engineering

· Familiarity with tools such as J-Tag, Wireshark, and SDLC

· Lattice FPGA

· Redis or similar No-SQL databases

· Experience with cryptographic algorithms (AES, RSA)

· Apache

· WebGL

· MQTT

  • Able to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks and work under deadline and budget guidelines.
  • May be required to travel domestically and internationally to include working odd hours, in-line with customer requirements
